On March 24-26, Vladivostok hosts the annual IV Pacific Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the prospects for the development and use of marine robotic complexes, other innovative weapons, military and special equipment and dual-use products in the interests of the Navy.
The participants of the conference, including representatives of leading enterprises of the military-industrial complex, research organizations of the Russian Academy of Sciences and higher educational institutions, discuss the prospects of technological development of ship power and ship-wide systems, issues of the use of marine robotic systems and unmanned aerial vehicles of ship-based.
Deputy Head of the Department of formation of the national network of intelligent transport systems of ROSDORNIA Maxim Ivanov presented a report on the topic: "Prospects for the development and implementation of intelligent transport systems (ITS) in ensuring safe cargo transportation using highly automated vehicles".
The representative of ROSDORNIA spoke about the technical device of unmanned vehicles (technical vision, navigation and telecommunications, the formation of control signals for actuators, intelligent chassis), the development of highly automated transport, government initiatives in the field of ITS, the requirements for road transport infrastructure (DTI), and also explained the difference between highly automated vehicles (VATS) and fully automated vehicles (PATS).
Currently, the Russian Federation has created prototypes and experimental models equipped with an automated driving system, including on the basis of mass-produced equipment, including the Caravan project with automatic piloting without the use of infrastructure, with traffic control using a digital highway map; the Primorye-2 international transport corridor with the center management, service information technology, transport and logistics platforms, telecommunications infrastructure, equipment on the vehicle and cargo compartments, specialized applications; prototype of an unmanned cargo vehicle based on the KAMAZ chassis.
ROSDORNII, being the ITS competence center, develops the Federal Platform of the national ITS network, studies the possibility of creating a pilot zone for conducting experiments and testing ITS and VATS technologies, standardizes in the field of ITS, and also carries out regulatory regulation.
Intelligent transport system is a management system that integrates modern information and telematics technologies and is designed for automated search and acceptance for the implementation of the most effective scenarios for managing the transport and road complex of the region, a specific vehicle or group of vehicles in order to ensure a given mobility of the population, maximizing the indicators of the use of the road network, improving the safety and efficiency of the transport process, comfort for drivers and transport users. The purpose of ITS creation is the integration of individual transport elements through modern information and telecommunication technologies into a single integrated system.
