The conference "PRO Bitumen and PBB" is one of the most important events in the road industry. The event has been held since 2012 and annually brings together over 600 representatives of government agencies, manufacturers and consumers of bitumen and polymer-bitumen binders. It is organized by the largest producer of bitumen products, Gazpromneft Bitumen Materials Company in partnership with Rosneft-Bitumen and SIBUR Holding
The conference was attended by 18 speakers - representatives of leading domestic and foreign scientific, design and contracting organizations. Among them were the General Director of Avtodor-Engineering LLC K.V. Mogilny, employees of ANO "Research Institute of TSK" I.M. Rozhkov and A.V. Kharpaev, Head of the Technology and Quality Control Department of Rosneft Bitumen LLC A.A. Novikovsky. Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation I.E. Levitin took part in summing up the results of the conference.
The delegation of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" was headed by Deputy Director General A.N. Kamenskikh. He spoke about the requirements for binders depending on the climatic characteristics of the region, how this affects the durability of the coating and what can happen if the selection is negligent.
Another presentation from the FAA "ROSDORNIA" — a report on the creation of mechanisms for the introduction of advanced technologies in the road sector was made by the head of the acceleration department of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" Yu.A. Oganova. She spoke about the first Accelerator of the road industry in Russia: what the mechanism of its work looks like, the technologies that it oversees and the results of its work. The accelerator was launched in 2020 as a guide in the road construction industry for projects at different stages of readiness (from an idea, R&D, prototype or ready-made solution), to accelerate the passage of stages including probation and implementation. This technique is used all over the world, in various industries, including in Russia, for example state accelerators (Small and medium-sized enterprises. Innovations of Moscow, etc.) In 2021, the accelerator continues to look for optimal ways to develop innovations, as well as to conduct a number of events aimed at testing technologies that passed the accelerator in 2020.
During the reports, the most important issues of ensuring the quality of bitumen binders and asphalt concrete were touched upon, including from the conditions of compliance with the requirements of modern regulatory and technical documents. In an open dialogue, the participants discussed the most relevant topics of market development and the introduction of technologies to increase the inter-repair service life of road surfaces. For nine years of its existence, the conference has received the status of a single industry platform for interaction within the bitumen materials market.
