ROSDORNII, as part of the work on the implementation of new technical requirements and standards for the arrangement of highways, including on the basis of digital technologies aimed at eliminating the concentration of road accidents, the federal project "System-wide measures for the development of road facilities" of the national project "Safe Quality Roads" has prepared a draft Concept for the creation and functioning of the national network intelligent transport systems (ITS) on public roads.
The creation of the national ITS network in Russia is aimed at the active and full-scale introduction of ITS technologies into the road infrastructure of the transport complex and into the daily lives of citizens, at expanding the range of opportunities and tools used in the field of organization and safety of road traffic, freight and passenger transportation, including through the commercial use of highly automated and fully automated vehicles, and wide awareness of road users.
