November 15-16 in Moscow at the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation (ave. Academician Sakharov, 12, Moscow) an international conference "Assessment of the effects of climate change: the introduction of new technologies and materials to ensure the regulatory condition of highways while adapting transport infrastructure to its changes" will be held. The organizers are ROSDORNII and the UN Economic Commission for Europe.
The event will be held with the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation within the framework of the "Transport Week-2021".
The conference will be organized to raise awareness and discuss issues related to climate change and its impact on transport infrastructure in the future, methods of assessing these impacts, preparation and adaptation to them by transport experts from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia and other interested countries.
The event will be held in a combined format (in person and online).
The following issues will be considered during the conference:
1.trends and forecasts of climate change, as well as the expected consequences of climate change for the transport system;
2. methods for assessing future climatic impacts on the most important transport systems;
3. The possibility of applying these methods to analyze the future impact on the transport corridor connecting Europe and Asia; 4. ways to prevent future socio-economic impacts of climate change on this corridor; 5. application of new technologies and materials in changing conditions.It is planned that the participants of the conference will be representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, representatives of relevant ministries and departments of foreign countries, experts in the field of climate change from the scientific circles of the Russian Federation, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, Germany, Canada, Poland, the Netherlands and other countries.
We invite experts in the field of highways, transport and ecology to join the discussion of issues related to the effects of climate change and adaptation of transport infrastructure.
The conference will be held in Russian with simultaneous translation into English.
