Immediately 11 cities became finalists of the competitive selection for the design of a new urban mobility within the framework of the civic platform "My Road".
Veliky Novgorod, Neftekamsk, Labytnangi, Shatura, Sochi, Volzhsky, Novomoskovsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Astrakhan, Nizhny Novgorod and Naberezhnye Chelny received the opportunity to apply progressive solutions and practices for new urban mobility from the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the FAA "ROSDORNII" within the framework of the national project "Safe Quality Roads". In particular, in these cities, a standard for involving citizens in solving issues of urban environment development in relation to the reconstruction and construction of the street road network will be introduced. "In the near future, municipal headquarters for the implementation of the My Road program will be formed in these cities and key initiatives for new urban mobility relevant to this territory will be systematically implemented by the end of 2021," said Tatiana Zhuravleva, head of the ASI Urban Competence Center.
A total of 79 localities from 32 regions of Russia took part in the voting, and their votes were cast for them votes of over 94 thousand active citizens.
"Many people noticed that it was difficult for small towns and settlements to compete in the voting with large cities. Therefore, the organizing committee of the competitive selection introduced an additional condition that made it possible to create equal chances for victory. So, when choosing the winners, the competitive selection commission took into account the population of the municipality, namely the ratio of the number of votes cast to the number of residents of the city. The pilot program "My Road" is being implemented by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives jointly with the FAA "ROSDORNII" with the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
