Specialists of the Siberian branch selected about 30 samples of raw materials and road surface
The departure of the brigade of the Siberian branch of the Russian Road Research Institute to Kuzbass took place this week. The experts visited a number of objects of the national project "Safe and high-quality highways" selected for monitoring the quality of road works. These are roads under repair, and areas where major repairs are being carried out. Reconstruction is being carried out at one facility. Technologies from the list of new and best have been applied at most audit sites. The purpose of the experts is to provide consulting support to the regions, to identify shortcomings in a timely manner and to give recommendations to road users to eliminate them.
One of such facilities where work is being carried out using advanced technology is the Byzovskoe Highway in Novokuznetsk. Reconstruction is being carried out there. Crushed stone-mastic asphalt for covering the site is designed by the volumetric method. This means that the grain composition is carefully selected, and the way in which it "folds" in the mixture is taken into account. Crushed stone creates a solid frame, the road serves much longer.
By the time the auditors arrived at the site, work was being carried out on the installation of the upper layer, the arrangement of sidewalks, the installation of barrier fences and traffic lights. The experts took samples using a core collector – each such "washer" – with a diameter of 150 millimeters. They also took samples of raw materials at an asphalt concrete plant. The samples will be tested in a laboratory in Krasnoyarsk.
Experts also measured the evenness of the coating, its width, as well as the width of the curb, checked the thickness of the zinc coating.
The experts also visited the laboratory of JSC NOVOKUZNETSK DRSU, checked the availability of the required equipment and documentation.
The same audit was carried out by employees of the Siberian division of the Institute on sections of Turkmenskaya Streets in Novokuznetsk and Zarechnoy in the village of Yagunovo, roads Metallploschadka-Sukhovo, Leninsk-Kuznetsky Prokopyevsk – Novokuznetsk and Kuzdeevo-Mundybashch-Tashtagol.
