Cyclos is the most popular object of the ROSDORNIA stand at the Transport of Russia exhibition

Russia's first wheel load simulator "Cyclos", created by employees of the Industry-wide Competence Center, became the most discussed object among the advanced developments of ROSDORNIA at the institute's exposition, presented during the "Transport Week-2021".

During two days, many guests of the exhibition "Transport of Russia" got acquainted with the layout of the "Cyclos", placed at the stand of ROSDORNIA. Among them are representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Federal Road Agency, Ministers of Transport of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as employees of other companies participating in the event.

Alexander Konorev, Head of the Department of Advanced Research and Testing of ROSDORNII, Ekaterina Bryazgina, Acting Deputy Director General of ROSDORNII, and Sergey Mironchuk, Deputy Head of the Department of Advanced Research and Testing Methods of ROSDORNII, told about the principles of operation and tasks of the wheel load simulator.

The Cyclos wheel load simulator is designed for accelerated testing of road structures. The mobile installation allows for a relatively short time (1-3 months) to assess the performance of the road surface, designed for more than 20 years of operation, and embodies one of the most promising directions in road science, which allows you to link the laboratory evaluation of materials with their behavior in real conditions.
