On May 26, a round table on the topic "Topical issues of standardization in the field of intelligent transport systems" was held in Moscow. Experts of the road industry gathered on one platform to discuss the problems of regulatory and regulatory and technical state regulation of the introduction of intelligent transport systems (ITS) throughout the country as part of the implementation of the national project "Safe High-quality Roads". The participants of the event discussed the current level of standardization of the implementation of information transport systems and further prospects for the development of ITS.
Vasily Kurguzov, Head of the Department of Intelligent Transport Systems of ROSDORNIA, made a detailed report. He spoke about the status of ITS implementation in urban agglomerations and the national ITS system. Special attention was paid to the problems of the introduction of intelligent transport systems, which consists in a high level of vulnerability of information and telecommunications infrastructure, heterogeneity of hardware and technological support, low functional compatibility of the solutions used, even within one the region, and the disunity of information and telematics systems.
