On April 20-21, the 6th annual conference-exhibition "ITS for Regions" started in Kaluga at the site of the Innovative Cultural Center. It is not the first year that industry experts have been meeting on the same platform to "check the clock" in the development of intelligent transport systems (ITS) and the prospects for the development of new digital solutions for the road industry.
The first day of the forum was opened by a plenary discussion on the topic "Digital Era of transport: development of transport infrastructure in the regions of Russia". The agenda of the business program is the introduction of intelligent transport systems, updating the public transport fleet and improving the quality of passenger transportation. One of the stumbling blocks is the standardization of approaches in the formation of ITS.
"It seems to me that it is important to provide common approaches. For these purposes, in 2020, the FAA "ROSDORNII" developed the concept of a national network of ITS. It is currently undergoing a number of approvals at the Ministry of Transport, but by September 2021 it should be approved. The hikes that are being laid there indicate that the federal and regional ITS systems will dock and transmit the necessary data for management, monitoring and management decision—making at various levels," she said.Ekaterina Bryazgina.
During the session "ITS to regions: first results and next tasks within the framework of the national project "Safe high-quality Roads", industry experts discussed the results of the introduction of intelligent systems in the regions last year and problem points for further development. It should be recalled that in 2020 Rosavtodor selected 22 regions for the pilot implementation of intelligent transport systems within the framework of the national project "Safe High-quality Roads".
In some subjects, certain parts of ITS are already in operation: complexes of photo and video recording of traffic violations, automatic weight and size control points, monitoring systems for traffic flow parameters. The task was set to create a national ITS network by 2030. Along with technological components, the national ITS network also includes administrative and organizational components: it is necessary to regulate the status and elements of ITS, formulate principles and create certification centers for intelligent systems, and train specialists. According to the speaker, by 2024, ITS will be created in urban agglomerations, and a test site will also begin its work.
ITS implementation is inextricably linked with transport planning. The deputy head of the Department of ITS "FAU ROSDORNII" shared his opinion on this matterMaxim Porokhov. The speaker clearly explained how important this is. In fact, transport planning allows you to ensure a rational distribution of traffic flow, reduce the load on the roads, reduce the number of traffic jams and accidents.
But for the introduction of new technologies, tools for their search and maintenance are needed. To do this, last year the Federal State Educational Institution "ROSDORNII" launched the first industry accelerator in Russia for startups working on innovative technologies in the road industries. Its important difference is the industry mentoring track and the ability to determine the optimal ways of testing on real objects. The selection of the best projects is carried out using modern methods of attracting and communicating with startups and teams of professionals. The participants of the acceleration program, who have proven the technological and economic efficiency of technologies, receive not only the support of the industry, but also ample opportunities for development.
