On September 9, the grand opening of the second season took place at the site of the FAU ROSDORNIAAccelerator of the road industry to support and implement promising innovative technologies in the regions.
Stanislav Yurievich Naboko, General Director of the Federal State Enterprise "ROSDORNIA", made a welcoming speech at the opening of the Accelerator. He recalled that the first season of the acceleration program was held in 2020. According to its results, out of a hundred applications, 14 projects have become finalists, and three winning projects are already being implemented. This result, according to Naboko, was good for the first year of the event.
"Today we are opening a new season, we are announcing a set of new applications. I hope that there will be more of them both in meaning and in content, they will be not only startups as such, but also new ideas, new trends, new technological solutions," Naboko said.
He expressed hope that the Accelerator will be a useful event for everyone: participants of the program, experts and employees of ROSDORNIA.
"Many people have ideas, but not all have the resources to give these ideas proper development. We have for this everything is there today. There is an initiative of the authors of such ideas, mechanisms for promoting these ideas, we have a resource, both the government and the president trust us. I believe that this is enough to deal with this issue deeply and seriously. I hope that the event will become an excellent launching pad for ideas of both scientists and entrepreneurs, and I wish all our colleagues and partners productive work," Naboko added.
Anton Kozlov, Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Road Management of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, also made a welcoming speech at the opening of the second Accelerator of the road industry. He noted that such events as the Accelerator are "necessary in order for new people, new ideas, new views on familiar things to appear," and urged the participants of the program to show new and "right directions" for the development of the road industry.
Alexey Kovrov, Acting Deputy General Director of the FAA "ROSDORNII", noted in his welcoming speech that in 2018 the task was set to increase the manufacturability of the road industry, get rid of the shortage of new solutions, and href="https://foundrdo.ru/?utm_source=article1009&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=909 ">The accelerator has become an excellent platform for promoting and implementing fresh ideas in the field of road construction and transport development. Out of a hundred projects submitted for selection in 2020, 9 projects are working in the industry.
"There was an experiment last year. This year we went a little further. We have collected the wishes of the regions, a huge list of their pains that need to be solved with the help of new technological actions. This year we are working more precisely. I am confident that we will be able to make our roads better and safer together," Kovrov stressed.
Program Manager Yulia Oganova spoke about the directions of the new seasonAccelerator. She specified that in 2021-2022, projects in such areas as unmanned road transport and infrastructure, new materials for covering roads, artificial intelligence systems will be selected: here safety, transport planning, noise and exhaust gas sensors, road construction and repair technologies (reducing the cost of construction and repair, road condition monitoring systems, pedestrian safety at night. Voted for this direction more than 30% of respondents, tracking contractors during repair work – 25% reported this problem, weight and size control and other projects.
According to Oganova, the format of the second Accelerator will include a track of technological entrepreneurship, mentoring and partner tracks, and the finalists and winners of the program will be offered industry expertise, support and inclusion in the RNNT, as well as the opportunity to test projects at the facilities of the road industry. The selection and examination will last until the end of the year, and in 2022 the finalists will be provided with advisory and methodological support.
Also at the opening of the second season of the Accelerator of the road industry were:
– Mikhail Yakovlevich Blinkin, an ordinary professor at the Higher School of Economics, Director of the Institute of Transport Economics and Transport Policy at the Higher School of Economics, who noted that the Accelerator has become a platform for promoting the newest technological solutions;
– Deputy Director of the Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Alexander Vedekhin. He said that the ministry seeks to create an ecosystem of support for university technological entrepreneurship, and cooperation with ROSDORNII in this area should give an additional impetus to the development of university startups in the road industry;
– Konstantin Nadenenko, Director of Venture Investments at the Investment Projects and Programs Directorate of Leader CJSC, noted that the Accelerator is a platform where "it is possible to organize interaction between venture investors" and professionals who understand the needs of the road industry well. It is important for an investor to receive industry expertise, which is provided by the Institute of FAA "ROSDORNII";
– Dmitry Cherkashin, a representative of the Regional Development Department of the Skolkovo Foundation, said that the result of the Accelerator is visible, and soon new startups will be able to fully function;
– The author of the BFB project, one of the winners of the Accelerator 2020, Alexander Fuchs thanked the organizers for conducting the program, and added that the accelerator helped with the expertise and now, together with ROSDORNII, the developer is implementing projects with the regions.
