The pedestrian crossing can last more than 100 years
Based on the recommendations of the FAA "ROSDORNIA", the authorities of the Saratov region decided to build aboveground pedestrian crossings in places of concentration of accidents.
One of them is already being built on the Saratov– Ust-Kurdyum highway.
Its length will be 52 meters, the width of the passer-by part - 3 meters. With proper care, the pedestrian crossing can last for more than 100 years: an "anti-vandal" polycarbonate dome structure with a thickness of 8 mm and special platforms for people with disabilities will be installed on it. Lighting in the dark will be provided by more than 30 lamps.
In addition, this year two aboveground pedestrian crossings will be built in the Saratov region, another one will be reconstructed.
Within the framework of the priority project "Safe and high-quality Roads", the specialists of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" are developing comprehensive traffic management projects based on the analysis of a large amount of data, taking into account the prospective development of urban agglomerations.
