When will most of Russia's roads meet the accepted standards? In which regions are roads blacklisted in terms of quality? Stanislav Mamulat, Advisor to the General Director of the FAA ROSDORNIA, told MIR 24 TV channel about this and many other things.
During the project "Road Inspection/Map of dead roads" roads in 114 cities of 84 regions of Russia were checked. 1 million 210 thousand Russians became participants of the audit. 38 thousand 800 kilometers of highways in poor condition have been identified. 46700 problem areas are listed on the "Map of dead roads" According to Rosstat, 42.4% of roads in the whole country meet the standards.
Thanks to the priority project "Safe and high-quality roads", 7,494 roads have been overhauled since 2017. The ONF made sure that the opinion of local residents was taken into account when repairing highways. The speed of elimination of road defects affecting the accident rate was also checked.
The key indicators provide for bringing at least 50% of all regional roads to a standard state and reducing the number of deaths in road accidents by 3.5 times.
