Yekaterinburg hosted one of the country's key road forums – the Ural Way – 2021 conference. Leading manufacturers of materials, employees of industry scientific organizations and representatives of construction companies gathered at one site to discuss the most important topic for all road workers – improving the quality and durability of road surfaces.
During the first day, industry participants discussed topical issues of pricing in the field of asphalt concrete mixtures, changes and additions to the construction control procedure, the use of cold recycling in the construction of structural layers of road coverings, the difficulties of switching to asphalt according to European standards and ways to solve them. The discussion was moderated by Vladimir Martinson, Chief Adviser to the Director General of ROSDORNIA.
The next day was devoted to the problems of construction control when performing works on highways, improvement of regulatory requirements for asphalt concrete, exchange of experience in the application of the Superpave methodology. Olga Vorobyeva, Head of the Regional Development Department of ROSDORNIA, moderated one of the sections.
Completed the conference was an excursion to the laboratory, where the participants were presented with advanced methods of production, testing and quality control of road materials.
