Representatives of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" visited two neighboring regions: the Republic of Mari El and Tatarstan. On a working visit, representatives of the Institute visited several sections of federal highways: M7 and A295. These facilities have been renovated using the technology of volumetric and functional design, as well as regeneration and stabilization of the base layers. Some of these plots were commissioned a year ago, while others have been commissioned for two years. The purpose of the visit is to assess how roads built using new technologies are passing the test of time. And besides, to exchange experience with representatives of the road industry, who have been working on this technique for more than a year.
Recall that these technologies have been selected as priorities for implementation in the pilot regions of the Russian Federation. For this purpose, a division has been created on the basis of the Industry-wide Competence Center, which provides advisory support subjects, conducting training seminars in these areas. This will allow the regions to achieve the target for the use of new technologies within the framework of the National Project "Safe and high-quality Highways".
The Institute's experts noted the modern production culture on both routes, the asphalt concrete laying unit has no more than 10 people. This was achieved thanks to a precisely tuned technological process.
Visual inspection showed that there were no defects on the road surface. There is no track, the longitudinal interface of the layers is in perfect condition. No traces of material staining were revealed. This suggests that the complex of new technologies for the arrangement of the base and coating layers allows for an increase in the maintenance life. And a highway with the proper level of maintenance can serve for many years. The increased quality of highways in the regions is also noted by car owners.
Except In addition, the delegation of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" visited two asphalt concrete plants. A distinctive feature of the ABZ in the Republic of Mari El is that the company produces a mixture based on crushed stone from boulder gravel. This made it possible to provide the company with high-quality raw materials in the required quantities.
In the near future, the technology of volumetric and functional design of asphalt concrete mixtures will also be used within the framework of the National Project "Safe and high-quality Highways". Such visits of experts of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" to the subjects allows not only to exchange experience, but also to assist in the introduction of new technologies in those regions where they are not yet used. For example, with the consulting support of representatives of the Institute, this year the methods of volumetric and functional design will be applied in the Orenburg and Kursk regions. The possibility of introducing the technology in 2021 is currently being worked out with the rest of the subjects.
