The jubilee expert is working on a national standard

Boris Kutko, Head of the Laboratory of cement concrete, Secondary and reinforced materials of the FAA "ROSDORNII", Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, academician of the International Academy of Transport, takes part in the most important project – the development of a national standard for concrete mixtures.

Today, on his 70th anniversary, he is engaged in the formation of a laboratory of cement concrete, cements and reinforced materials, taking its work to a new level. The results of the research conducted in the laboratory will form the basis of the national standard.

The entire work biography of Boris Pavlovich is connected with construction, transport and road industries. He received the specialty of a civil engineer at the Novosibirsk Institute of Railway Transport Engineers, and in Moscow he defended his dissertation on the specialty "Building materials and products".

Having worked his way up from a graduate student to the head of the department at the Chisinau Polytechnic Institute named after S. Lazo, he organized a research and production company at the Department of "Highways", which carried out work on the inspection and testing of bridges, diagnostics of roads, design of bridge formwork hollow-beam blocks, circles for the construction of stone-arch bridges, and also conducted courses to improve the skills of specialists in the road industry, prepared the publication of an industry magazine.

The next stage in Boris Pavlovich's career is work at the Technical University of Moldova, and in the early 2000s – leadership of the scientific and technical department in the State Administration of Highways of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of Moldova.

After moving to Moscow, Boris Kutko headed the Department of scientific and technical research and pricing of Rosavtodor, and in 2016 he moved to ROSDORNII.

Our colleague has published eight books and brochures, more than 60 articles, five scientific and methodological developments on academic work, received two copyright certificates for inventions, published a monograph on the formation and development of the road economy of Moldova. He is a regular participant of international symposiums, conferences and congresses in Russia, Germany, USA, Latvia, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, Belarus and other countries.
