Alexander Yefimovich devoted his entire working life to industry road science. After graduating from the Moscow Institute of Railway Transport Engineers in 1976, he entered the postgraduate course of the All-Union State Research Institute of SOYUZDORNIA and, having defended his PhD thesis, continued his work in SOYUZDORNIA until 2000.
During this period, Alexander Efimovich took part in the development of many important regulatory documents for the road industry. In the 80s, he was a corresponding member of the technical committee of the Permanent International Association of Road Congresses (PIARC), in 2000 he received a patent for an invention related to the use of volumetric geogrids to improve the properties of bulk granular materials. Alexander Efimovich has published more than 70 scientific papers. Promoting domestic scientific developments, he took an active part in international conferences in France, Holland, Poland, Bulgaria and China.
In the last years of his life, Alexander Efimovich worked at the FAU "ROSDORNIA" as the head of the department of road clothing designs. Under his leadership , developed special projects for the transportation of bulky and heavy cargo on federal highways.
