In Kursk, a pedestrian illumination system was installed on an unregulated crossing in pilot mode

DorInfo, 02/21/2022

In Kursk, a pedestrian illumination system was installed in a pilot mode at an unregulated crossing at the intersection of Dzerzhinsky and Karl Liebknecht streets. The pilot project is aimed at preventing accidents on unregulated zebras. This was reported by the press service of the administration of the Kursk region on Monday, February 21.

At the pedestrian crossing of the intersection of Dzerzhinsky Street-St. Karl Liebknecht was arranged with a complex system of light accompaniment of people – SecurOS Soffit. Thanks to its installation, pedestrians will become more visible to drivers.

Specialists installed the system on a support next to the zebra, the video detectors of the complex, working on the basis of artificial intelligence, process video from the built-in video camera, identify people at the crossing and the direction of their movement.

In the field of view of SecurOS Soffit are "zebra" and the sidewalks adjacent to it. When a person crosses the roadway, the system recognizes him and turns on the backlight mode. After the pedestrian has left the control area, the spotlight returns to standby mode. According to the authorities, the backlight does not blind drivers.

It should be added that in the Kursk region in 2020 it was planned to introduce elements of an intelligent transport system on the Kursk-Lgov-Rylsk-Border with Ukraine road from Leninsky Komsomol Avenue in the Fiber district of Kursk to the village of Dyakonovo in the Oktyabrsky district of the region.

Construction of an aluminum bridge across the Linda River in the Nizhny Novgorod region has begun

DorInfo, 22.02.2022

In the city of Bor, Nizhny Novgorod region, the construction of a bridge across the Linda River has begun – this will be the first aluminum road bridge in Russia. The 72-meter-long structure will appear on the Tolokontsevo-Mogiltsy road. On Tuesday, February 22, the press service of the Aluminum Association "Association of Manufacturers, suppliers and consumers of Aluminum" reports.

A bridge crossing will be built to the right of the old crossing. The new structure will cut the turning angle on the road, two-lane traffic will be organized along it. At the moment, the first piles have already been hammered. The facility will consist of four aluminum spans, the length of each of them will be 18 meters. Orthotropic plates made of aluminum alloy 6082T6, capable of withstanding high operational loads, will also be used in the construction of the crossing.

The report notes that the construction of a bridge with aluminum structures is a pilot project in which the leading scientific and industrial centers of the country take part. During the work, sensors will be installed on the structure that monitor the condition of the main structural elements in real time.

"Automobile bridges made of aluminum alloys are an example of the development of modern construction technologies. The design is lightweight, so assembly and installation takes only a few hours. This saves time and money. And then such a bridge practically does not require operating costs, unlike steel bridges, which need regular restoration of the anti–corrosion coating," said Andrey Korgin, head of the research laboratory of the NRU MGSU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.

According to the press service of the Association, it is planned to open a new bridge in 2024.

It should be added that before the design and construction of an aluminum bridge in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation agreed on special technical conditions (STU), which were developed by specialists of the MADI Research Institutes, NRU MGSU and JSC TSNIIS. The basis of the STU were regulatory documents on bridge construction, the results of four years of laboratory and landfill tests, as well as international experience in the construction of such crossings.

Also recall that the construction of the bridge over the Linda is carried out by VIADUCT-M LLC, a contract worth more than 400 million rubles has been signed with the company.

EUROCEMENT Group is ready to implement the project of a reference concrete road in the Belgorod region

Cement and its application, 02/22/2022

EUROCEMENT Group, one of the largest producers of cement and building materials, is ready to implement a project for the construction of a reference concrete road together with the administration of the Belgorod region.

The 7.3-kilometer-long road will run on the 61-68 km section of the Korocha-Gubkin-Kursk Region Border highway in the Gubkin City District of the Belgorod Region. It will consist of 4 lanes of 3.75 m with a dividing strip of 2.7 m.

The new highway will bring the transit cargo flow of Stoilensky (NLMK) and Lebedinsky (Metalloinvest) mining and processing plants out of the city of Gubkin. The road project was prepared by the local design institute "Beldorproekt".

"Concrete roads have a number of advantages: they are practical and economical, and also allow you to increase the capacity of routes for heavy vehicles. The service life of a concrete road is more than 30 years, which is several times higher than that of asphalt. The road project in the Belgorod Region is very clear and will be a reference object both at the regional and federal levels," said Vyacheslav Shmatov, General Director of EUROCEMENT Group.

The implementation of road projects on the territory of Yakutia will ensure year-round uninterrupted transport links on the highway A-331 "Vilyu"

ROSAVTODOR, 02/22/2022

On February 21 and 22, Deputy Head of the Federal Road Agency Andrey Samaryanov and adviser to the head of Rosavtodor Azamat Ilimbetov made a working trip to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

During the visit, the participants of the delegation of the department together with the head of the FKU Uprdor "Vilyu" Nikolai Andreev visited the site of a dirt winter road on the highway A-331 "Vilyu", and also inspected the bridge crossings located on the federal highway.

The first object in the program of the working trip of representatives of the Federal Road Agency was the only winter road of federal significance "Taas-Yuryakh-Verkhnemarkovo" with a total length of 836 km. Currently, the unpaved winter road is the only automobile route connecting the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

"Our main task is to ensure year–round uninterrupted transport links along the federal highways Lena, Vilyu and Kolyma by 2030. It is necessary to build five bridge crossings: four bridges over the Vilyui River on the Vilyui highway and one over the Aldan River on the Kolyma highway, as well as to eliminate the ground gap on the existing winter road from the village of Taas–Yuryakh to the village of Verkhnemarkovo, traffic on which is possible only from mid-December to the first of April,"– the deputy head of Rosavtodor noted.

Andrey Samaryanov and Azamat Ilimbetov visited the previously commissioned bridge over the Tyukyan River on the 702nd km of the A-331 Viluy highway, as well as the bridge over the Markha River on the 756th km and over the Malaya Botuobuya River on the 1,158 th km.

Previously, the movement of vehicles in these areas was carried out on floating bridges in summer, in winter – on ice. Thanks to the construction of these facilities, it was possible to eliminate pontoon and ferry crossings and provide year-round transport links on sections of the federal highway.

Also, the members of the Rosavtodor delegation inspected the gate of the bridge crossing over the Vilyu River near the village of Verkhneviluysk on the 660th km of the highway. In November last year, the project received a positive conclusion from the FAA "Glavgosexpertiza of Russia". The total length of the construction site is 22.84 km, the length of the bridge is 1,657 m. This unique bridge will be the largest bridge crossing on the federal highway A-331 "Vilyu" within the borders of Yakutia.

In the plans of road builders – the construction of three more bridge crossings over Vilyu. New artificial structures are planned to be erected on the 807th km near the village of Kyundyadya, on the 956th km near the village of Ustye and on the 1,049th km near the village of Krestyakh. Already this year, design and survey work will start, which will be completed in 2024.

As a result of the construction of all four bridge crossings, comfortable, safe and year-round travel along the A-331 Vilyu highway between Yakutsk and Mirny will be provided.

At the end of the working trip in Yakutsk, a working meeting was held with the staff of the FKU Upddor "Vilyu", where they discussed the road works program and the development strategy of the federal roads A-331 "Vilyu" and P-504 "Kolyma".

The Moscow high-speed diameter will reduce the load on the MKAD, TTK and radial highways

, 22.02.2022

Thanks to the opening of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter in Moscow, the load on the Moscow Ring Road, the Third Transport Ring and radial highways will decrease. This was announced by Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Urban Planning Policy and Construction.

"The high–speed diameter is one of the key transport projects for the entire 23-25 million metropolitan agglomeration. Thanks to the introduction of the highway, it will not only be possible to pass through the entire city from south to north without entering the center, but also the connectivity of the road network will increase. TTK, radial highways and MKAD will unload up to 20 percent," the deputy mayor said.

According to the head of the Construction Complex, the highway will have not only citywide, but also all-Russian significance. He added that the traffic–free highway will connect five federal centers at once - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, as well as the Republic of Crimea.

"In the north, the M11 federal high-speed highway leading to St. Petersburg will be a continuation of the MSD, in the east – the future M12 highway to Kazan and further to Yekaterinburg, in the south – the M2 federal highway to Crimea," Andrei Bochkarev said.

The Moscow high-speed diameter will unite the North-Eastern and South-Eastern chords. The highway will connect the largest outbound highways. It will allow you to drive through the whole city, bypassing the center, in 40 minutes, there will not be a single traffic light on it. The length of the MSD will be 68 kilometers.

Pre-design studies of the Sverdlovsk part of the Moscow-Kazan-Yekaterinburg highway have been completed

INTERFAX, 02/28/2022

Pre-design studies of the section of the Moscow-Kazan-Yekaterinburg highway on the territory of the Sverdlovsk Region have now been completed, the press service of the Plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District (Ural Federal District) reports.

"To date, pre-design studies and the option of tracing the Sverdlovsk section have been completed. The construction should be completed by 2024," the report says.

Issues of highway construction were discussed at the meeting of the Presidential Envoy to the Ural Federal District Vladimir Yakushev with the head of the Federal Road Agency Roman Novikov.

During the meeting, the results of Rosavtodor's activities in the territory of the Ural Federal District and plans for the current year were also considered.

So, last year 61 km of the M-5 Ural road in the Chelyabinsk region from the border with Bashkiria to Kropachevo was reconstructed. Also in 2021, a 19-kilometer section of the Chelyabinsk-Yekaterinburg highway was put into operation after major repairs, 30 kilometers of the Yekaterinburg-Tyumen highway were expanded to four lanes and seven bridges were repaired.

"For 2022, it is planned to expand to four lanes of the R-351 Yekaterinburg-Tyumen highway within the borders of the Tyumen region and the M-5 Ural at the entrance to Yekaterinburg, construction of bypasses of the village of Beloyarsky and the city of Bogdanovich," the embassy said.

In addition, the reconstruction and overhaul of the section of the M-5 Ural highway will continue in the Chelyabinsk Region, and the overhaul of the R–254 Irtysh highway will continue in the Kurgan region.

Yakushev also stated the importance of expanding to four lanes of the road from Tobolsk towards Surgut and further north.

"The intensive economic and tourist development of our northern territories is constrained by the low capacity of the road. The main part of the cargo goes along the highway, including within the framework of the "Northern Delivery". This road should become safe and comfortable for the movement of vehicles," he said.
