The construction of the Barda-Aghdam road continues at an accelerated pace, which is one of the road infrastructure projects being implemented in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions. The length of the Barda-Aghdam highway will be 45 kilometers.
According to the instruction of the head of state, the road is being built taking into account the development plan of Karabakh in accordance with the first technical category and will be four-lane.
Currently, excavation works are continuing on sections of the Barda-Aghdam highway between 5-45 km. With the help of special equipment, work is underway to expand the road and the construction of a new 26.5-meter-wide roadbed is underway.
Work is being completed on the construction of two single-span bridges with a length of 91.3 and 18.2 meters on 25 and 40 km of roads, as well as a 32.2-meter overpass for 41 km.
Along with this, the construction of a 66-meter-long road interchange has begun at 14 km. Bus stops will also be built.

Belarus starts building a high-speed highway to China

Construction of a high-speed highway to China begins in Belarus this year, said Alexander Golovnev, head of the Main Directorate of Highways of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Belarus.
The idea of building a road back in the 2000s was hatched within the framework of the Union State. It was planned that the route would run from Brest to Vladivostok. But now they have decided to redraw it and make it more ambitious: the highway will connect China and Europe. It will be a road passing through China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and further to Europe. This project is called "Meridian".
According to him, the cross-border highway will "enter" the territory of Belarus in the area of the Selishche checkpoint (on the Bryansk — Gomel highway) and will then pass through the south of the republic.
But the first section will be built not from the border, but in the interior of the country: from Mozyr to Rechitsa. Its length will be 100 km. It is unclear whether the new highway will pass next to the already existing M10 (the border of the Russian Federation — Gomel — Rechitsa — Mozyr — Kobrin), or on top of it, or in a completely different place. In the first quarter of 2022, the second stage of the competition for the selection of a private partner will be announced. Four companies are competing for the victory, while their names are not disclosed.

Alexey Avramenko paid a working visit to the leading engineering enterprise in the field of construction, repair and maintenance of highways - RUE "Beldortsentr".
The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue. In the first part of the event, the current state of affairs at the enterprise, the implementation of the main indicators of socio-economic development based on the results of work over the past year were discussed.
Separately, the topic of the development of such important areas of activity of Beldorcenter as technical supervision and diagnostics of highways and bridges was discussed. In particular, it was about mechanisms for improving work with customers.
The structure of the works and services provided by the enterprise in the context of activities is as follows: technical supervision and engineering support of projects – 51.5%, scientific research and standard design – 10.8%, organization of safe passage of heavy and oversized vehicles – 8%, database formation – 5%. Diagnostics of highways and bridges occupies 11.3%, other works and services – 13.4%.
"The company is currently operating stably. The existing personnel potential of the enterprise allows us to solve any production tasks, as well as to respond promptly to the challenges of the time," said Alexander Krykhta, General Director of the enterprise. He expressed confidence that in 2022 all the tasks that the team faces, including indicators of the socio-economic development of the enterprise, will be completed.
"For this purpose, measures are constantly being taken to improve the company's activities, develop and search for new technical solutions. The key issue for our company is the constant improvement of the quality of services provided," added the head of Beldortsentr.
The Belarusian Road Engineering and Technical Center is the main enterprise of the Ministry of Transport of Belarus for the development and implementation of information technologies, analysis and forecasting of economic parameters, diagnostics, engineering and technical support and implementation of modern technical management systems for the functioning of the road economy.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov held talks with President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Jin Lijun.
It was emphasized that the AIIB, cooperation with which began in 2016, in a short time became a strategic partner of Uzbekistan in the implementation of large-scale projects aimed at stimulating socio-economic and infrastructural development.
The parties exchanged proposals on further expansion of cooperation. The construction and reconstruction of highways, electrification of railways, modernization and expansion of water supply and sewerage networks, as well as comprehensive development of urban infrastructure were identified as promising areas.
Following the talks, the participants outlined further steps in the framework of bilateral cooperation and identified priority tasks for implementation in the short and medium term.
