The laboratory includes a mobile laser scanning system that allows you to obtain high-precision three-dimensional spatial data of objects, a georadar subsurface sensing system that can be used to obtain information about the structure of a road structure (its condition, layer thicknesses, presence and location of anomalous zones) at a depth of up to 3 meters, video cameras, equipment for road diagnostics (for determination of longitudinal evenness), a set of auxiliary geodetic equipment.
The mobile road laboratory for spatial data collection can perform measurements at speeds up to 80 km/h and provides data collection on the highway network with a capacity of 2500-3000 kilometers per month.
The demonstration of a mobile road laboratory for spatial data collection took place within the framework of a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of the Republic of Tatarstan chaired by the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov.
On the territory of the ROSDORNIA region, work is being carried out on selective monitoring of the quality of road works, assessment (diagnostics) of the technical condition of road sections.
In addition, under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, together with the Republic of Tatarstan, ROSDORNII is working on the creation of the first pilot zone in the region to ensure the movement of highly automated vehicles (VATS). The facility is being developed in order to provide the possibility of conducting experiments and testing technologies of intelligent transport systems (ITS) that ensure the safe movement of VATS in conditions of real traffic flow on public roads.
All types and models of ITS will be tested on the highways of the pilot zone, as well as their interaction with ITS road transport infrastructure, high-precision positioning systems and a digital dynamic traffic map will be worked out.
To create a pilot zone, sections of highways were selected on the territory of the Special Economic Zone of the industrial-production type "Alabuga" and adjacent sections of the regional public highway 16K-0809.
