Experts of the transport industry discussed during the round table the contribution of ITS tools to the successful reform of the work of passenger transport in agglomerations, approaches to optimizing the route networks of public urban passenger transport using mathematical modeling tools, reforming the organizational and economic model of public urban passenger transport as prerequisites for the successful implementation of ITS.
In addition, during the round table, the experience of Russian regions, design organizations and carrier companies on reforming public transport systems based on a rational route network, payment for transport work performed ("gross contracting"), and the use of ITS tools and subsystems were considered.
