ROSDORNII held a conference "Development of innovations in the road industry"

On December 1, 2021, a conference on the topic "Development of innovations in the road industry" was held in Moscow. It was organized by ROSDORNII. The event became a single platform for discussing issues of innovation development, meetings of public authorities, business, investors, startups, entrepreneurs and scientific communities.

The conference was attended by Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of the Government of the Russian Federation Valentin Ivanov, Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Road Management of the Ministry of Transport of Russia Anton Kozlov, Director General of ROSDORNIA Stanislav Naboko, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, industry enterprises, development institutes, industry universities, REC, startup studios.

"Education and science are of crucial importance in the development of modern society today, they are sources of innovation and technology, without which it is impossible to imagine the successful development of the state," said Stanislav Naboko, Director General of ROSDORNIA, during the opening of the conference.

He stressed that the main task now is to find solutions to support breakthrough and high-tech technologies and their implementation in the road industry.

"The goal of our conference is to make the path between developers and the person who implements [innovations] as short as possible," Anton Kozlov noted.

During the event, five sessions were held, during which the problems of innovation implementation and measures to support innovation by the state, the development of science in Russia, promising areas and in-demand technologies, as well as the problems of innovation implementation were discussed.

The discussion "The impact of science and education on the development of innovations in the road industry" allowed experts to discuss the development of scientific and technical potential in Russia, measures to support scientific organizations and universities for the development of technological entrepreneurship.

Alexander Kamenskikh, Deputy General Director of ROSDORNIA, spoke about the scientific potential of the road industry and promising areas of development. In addition, the experts who made presentations spoke about government measures to support research and development work on modern technologies within the framework of innovative projects, about tools to support small technology companies from the state on the example of the Innovation Promotion Fund, as well as about the commercialization of scientific developments.

The discussion on the topic of creating a favorable climate for the introduction of innovations and measures to support innovations by the state, moderated by Acting Deputy Director General of ROSDORNIA Ekaterina Bryazgina, became a platform for sharing experience in the use of state mechanisms for the introduction of new ideas in the road industry. During the discussion, representatives of federal and regional authorities, as well as various companies presented their reports and proposals.

Promising areas and in-demand technologies, the role of intelligent transport systems and digitalization in the transport industry, as well as "Smart City" and "Smart Highway" were the main topics of the discussion "Innovations in intelligent transport systems. Digitalization in the road complex".

During the final session, experts discussed the improvement of the regulatory legal regulation of the introduction and scaling of promising and best available materials and products in order to expand the scale of road works, the results of monitoring and evaluating the effects of the use of new technologies, materials and technological solutions on road sections, promising areas for the use of man-made waste in the road industry, information resources to promote modern high-tech technical and technological solutions, as well as the development of methods of calculation, control and testing of elements of road structures.
