A special place in the exposition of the Institute is occupied by the mobile installation "Cyclos" for accelerated testing of road structures. This is one of the latest developments of ROSDORNIA, which has no analogues in Russia. The wheel load simulator allows you to assess the wear of the road surface in a month and a half, designed for more than 20 years of operation, and embodies one of the most promising directions in road science, which allows you to link the laboratory assessment of materials with their behavior in real conditions.
Other developments include the universal mobile laboratory "Eskandor", which is able to scan the road and its surroundings, as well as collect a variety of data, moving in the flow of transport at speeds up to 80 km / h; an automated system of weight and dimensional control of transport, which allows you to abandon the traditional weighing and much more.
Among the projects presented is the concept of a national network of intelligent transport systems, for the development of which the Institute is responsible. ITS combines transport, logistics and information services into a single ecosystem to meet the growing demand for passenger and cargo transportation, balance the capacity of the road network with its real load, ensure transportation safety and reduce harmful emissions. Their implementation is an important component of projects to create "smart cities".
In addition, the ROSDORNIA stand presents the Road Funds Control System developed and implemented at the Institute, as well as the Register of New and Best Technologies – an open database of ready-made effective solutions for road activities.
The exposition tells about the activities of the institution in the field of standardization and development of industry standards, in the field of monitoring legislation on the regulation of urban planning and road activities, diagnostics and evaluation of the transport and operational condition of federal and territorial highways and artificial structures. Information is provided on the work of the Industry-wide Competence Center, which is responsible for monitoring all road activity programs of the subjects of the Russian Federation using federal support funds, as well as on the work of the Accelerator of the road industry.
