"
"Laser scanning is used at all stages of the life cycle of highways to find areas with potential exposure to hazardous natural processes, and then eliminate the risks. This way you can extend the service life of the roadway," said the head of the Department.
The technology improves the accuracy of the assessment of the technical condition of structures, fixes the deformation, destruction and defects of road coverings, coatings. Svetlana Kovrigina clarified that laser scanning is also used for the formation of topographic plans and during geotechnical monitoring.
Laser scanning allows you to achieve great results and has a number of advantages.Objects falling within the range of the laser scanner have a high level of detail, which allows their identification and classification directly in the cloud of laser scanning points.
