During the meeting, all newly minted members of the Executive Committee told about themselves, as well as about their expectations and intentions as members of the Executive Committee.
Following the results of the event, the participants jointly noted the areas of interest that will be focused on in the period 2022-2024 in the interaction and cooperation within the framework of PIARC. Among them are innovations, dissemination of PIARC reports, openness to new modes of transport (for example, cycling), sustainability and climate change, increasing the value of roads, developing partnerships, expanding work with low- and middle-income countries, developing friendly ties, sharing national best practices, new modes of transport, decarbonization, interaction with other international organizations, the role of Executive Committee members in attracting new members to PIARC from their own and neighboring countries, communication, construction of road infrastructure.
