On April 6-8, Yekaterinburg hosted the IV scientific and practical road conference "Ural Way" on the topic: "Asphalt concrete and bitumen. Modern trends". On behalf of ROSDORNIA, the event was attended by Vladimir Martinson, Chief Adviser to the General Director, as well as specialists from the Perm branch of the Institute.

Vladimir Leonidovich made a report on changes and additions to the construction control procedure and spoke about the work of the Institute related to quality assurance, including during the implementation of the national project "Safe Quality Roads", these works include:

- analysis of the requirements in force in the regions for organizations carrying out construction control;

- development and implementation of a digital form of reporting on the stages of construction control;

- evaluation together with professional organizations of laboratories of all participants in the road construction process;

- inspection control at facilities.

During the monitoring of the customer's construction control services within the NP BCD, ROSDORNIA experts found such problems as:

- lack of a unified procedure for conducting construction control;

- laboratory services of the involved organizations confirm their competence in a number of systems that contradict federal legislation (accreditation in voluntary systems);

- lack of a unified procedure for carrying out diagnostic work;

- the composition of the project documentation is different (from local estimates and defective statements).

Solving such problems is one of the priority tasks for ROSDORNIA, requiring a modern and integrated approach. The Institute proposes and implements measures to identify and eliminate them.

Representatives of the Perm branch spoke about the development of an automated bitumen temperature control system for the production of asphalt concrete and quality control of asphalt concrete plants within the framework of the national project "Safe Quality Roads".

A production tour was organized for the conference participants, during which the conference participants visited:

- panorama of the Bazhenov deposit quarry, which has been developed since 1889. This quarry covers an area of more than 10 km2 and is the largest mining operation in Europe;

- the largest asbestos processing plant in the world with a length of more than 80 km of transport equipment. The volume of ore processing is 20 million tons per year. More than 300 thousand tons of chrysotile fiber and more than 7 million tons of non-metallic building materials used for road construction are obtained from this ore in production;

- warehouses of NSM PJSC "Uralasbest" with a volume of more than 600 thousand tons. The shipment of crushed stone of various fractions is carried out both by road (up to 1.5 million tons per year) and by rail (up to 600 wagons per day).

In addition, the guests visited the largest basalt thermal insulation plant in the Urals, where they watched the process of melting basalt rock at a temperature of 1600 ° C and its transformation into stone fiber.
