The automatic device for determining penetration is designed to determine the depth of penetration of the needle into the bitumen sample according to GOST 33136-2014 "Public roads. According to the value of the penetration value, bitumen can be classified by grade in accordance with the requirements of GOST 33133-2014 "Public roads. Bitumen oil road viscous. Technical requirements". The test consists in measuring the depth to which the bitumen sample is immersed in the test the needle of the penetrometer at a given load, temperature and time.
Penetrometers are desktop measuring instruments consisting of a base plate with a built-in control panel, a vertical rack with a height-adjustable measuring head, with a built-in displacement sensor.
The penetrometer provides automatic detection of the sample penetration and the moment when the bitumen is touched by the needle. The device is equipped with a liquid bath with a heat exchanger, which allows you to maintain the temperature of the sample during testing.
