ROSDORNII will conduct research work on the development of transport planning documents of the Voronezh Region and the regional center. The state contract for the creation of a program for the integrated development of transport infrastructure (PKRTI) between the Road Institute and the Department of Industry and Transport was signed on August 10.
By the end of the year, ROSDORNII will present to the region a forecast for the development of the entire transport system and proposals for priority areas of work. Experts will analyze the current situation and develop an action plan for the development of the infrastructure of road, rail and other modes of transport. They will also develop a comprehensive scheme of public transport services (CSOT). PKRTI and CSOT will also be developed for the Voronezh agglomeration.
In addition, RODORNIA experts will prepare proposals for the modernization of electric transport in the Voronezh agglomeration. On its basis, it is planned to create a full-fledged system of mainline passenger transport of the agglomeration, which will become a worthy alternative to traveling by private cars. This it will reduce the load on the urban road network and improve the environmental situation. To select the optimal development option, the Institute's staff will conduct a technological audit of the electric transport infrastructure. Based on the results, the concept of a future system with a financial and economic model of functioning will be developed: the volume of capital investments, tariff policy, revenue from transportation and maintenance costs.
It should be noted that ROSDORNII is well acquainted with the Voronezh route network. In 2019, the Institute developed a comprehensive traffic management scheme (CSODD), within the framework of which, among other things, measures were proposed to improve the operation of public transport.
