Experts of the head office continue regular working visits to the regions of the Russian Federation to audit the quality of roads
This time the working group went to the westernmost region of the country. In the Kaliningrad region, the experts of the Scientific Institute inspected 4 facilities, all work on which is already under completion, and traffic on the roads has been started.
Auditors from the FAA "ROSDORNIA", as part of monitoring the quality of road works, measured the geometric parameters of the roadway at all facilities, assessed the evenness of the coating. In addition, the project and executive documentation were analyzed. And with the help of special equipment, samples of the coating on the objects were taken – cores. These materials will be tested in the laboratory of the Industry-wide Competence Center of the road industry of the FAA "ROSDORNII".
So, samples of the coating from the road section were sent to the laboratory of the Institute to check the quality of the composition of the mixtureKaliningrad – Polessk, 12 kilometers long. The contractor has done a lot of work at this facility: removal of plant soil, subsequent installation of the foundation and the underlying layer of medium–sized sand, then the laying of a crushed stone base, layers of asphalt concrete. Bus stops and sidewalks are equipped on site, on which there are pockets for traveling and turning wheelchairs for people with disabilities.
3 cores selected on the highway are also expected to be checked for compliance with the standardsKaliningrad – Zelenogradsk. This facility has been fully commissioned. It has carried out work on milling the top layer, the device of the leveling and top layers of the coating, the creation of curbs and sidewalks.
In addition, the working group of the scientific institute visited two sections of the highwaySovetsk – Gusev. The first one has a length of about 45 kilometers, it is the longest monitoring facility in the Kaliningrad region. The set of tasks for the contractor consisted of milling the top layer, arranging the layers of the roadway and roadside equipment. The work was carried out as part of the first stage.
The same work was carried out on another section of this route, the most remote object from the regional capital. Traffic on it has already started.
In addition to the audit directly at the BCAD facilities, the experts of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" visited the ABZ, which serves these sites. In addition, the laboratories of the customer's and contractor's services were monitored.
"The road network of the Kaliningrad region is prepared for the construction season and has completed its work according to the work schedules, during the work on the facilities minor comments were identified that were eliminated on the spot," the experts announced the preliminary results.
Final recommendations to customers and contractors will be given after testing the selected samples of asphalt concrete mixture in the laboratory of the FAA "ROSDORNIA".
It should be recalled that monitoring the quality of road works is one of the tasks that the FAA ROSDORNII performs as an Industry–wide competence Center for the road industry. Working trips across the country allow real-time time to evaluate the picture of the implementation of the National project "BKAD".
