The Working Group on Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Interdepartmental Center functioning under the Coordination Headquarters established in connection with the centralized solution of issues in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan held a regular meeting, Trend reported on Thursday.
At the meeting, which was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies, information was provided and projects currently being implemented in the field of restoring transport and communications infrastructure in the liberated territories, including work on the construction of railways and highways, airports, the creation of telecommunications networks and the organization of communication services on these lands, were discussed.

The project provides for the purchase of electric buses for public transport in Tashkent, as well as the introduction of a "green transport corridor" in the city as a pilot project. The project, designed for six years, was approved by donors (the United Nations Development Program and the Global Environment Facility) and provided for the allocation of funds in the amount of 3.9 million US dollars.
With the implementation of the project, a significant reduction in the number of harmful substances released into the atmospheric air.
