KAZINFORM, 20.08.2021

Ensuring the safety of pedestrians on highways depends not only on the observance of Traffic Rules by drivers, pedestrians, but also on the use of modern means of traffic regulation.

Special attention should be paid to attracting the attention of drivers to road sections and pedestrian crossings, which are characterized by an increased level of danger. "For this purpose, in the second decade of August, at the suggestion of the administrative police department of the East Kazakhstan Region road service organization, a branch of Kazakhavtodor LLP applied special noise strips in front of seven unregulated pedestrian crossings along the Ust-Kamenogorsk-Semey highway.

This is a special type of marking protruding above the roadway, made using special technology by using special materials. If a person suddenly fell asleep at the wheel or began to fall asleep, hitting the lane will wake him up because of vibrations," he said Head of the Administrative Police Department Ernar Bazarov.

The main task of the noise lane is to reduce the level of accidents, increase the concentration of the driver and prevent road accidents. To date, more than 4,000 linear meters of noise strips (20 sections) are already in operation on the roads and streets of the region. Its further application is obvious and will be continued by road owners this year.
