The President of Azerbaijan allocated funds for the construction of a road in Goranboy

President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on additional measures for the construction of the Dalimamedli-Dyuzgyshlag-Bagchakyurd-Dairmanlar-Azad-Nizami highway of the Geranboy district.

According to the source, the order allocated 3.6 million (three million six hundred thousand) manats to the State Agency of Highways of Azerbaijan to complete the construction of this highway.

Armenia

Gnel Sanosyan presented to the group of ambassadors the details of the investment program for the Sisian-Kajaran section

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and the Department of Highways presented to a group of ambassadors accredited in Armenia the details of the tender for the Investment Program of the North-South Highway Corridor, Tranche 4 (section Sisian-Kajaran).

According to the source, it is planned to build a road of the second technical order with a length of about 60 km on this site. It should have 27 bridges with a total length of 4.7 km and 9 tunnels with a total length of 12.5 km (including the Bargushat tunnel, which will be about 8.7 km long).

In his opening remarks, Minister Gnel Sanosyan noted that the Ministry has announced the preliminary qualification stage of the tender and will accept applications from construction companies within 70 days.

"The construction of this section of road is extremely important for Armenia from the point of view of strategy, economy and security. This is a fairly large, interesting program with many technical and professional solutions. It will be quite a difficult and interesting site. We ask for your assistance so that you give as much information about the project as possible to large construction companies in your countries to participate in this competition. Our goal is to attract experienced companies with great opportunities," Sanosyan said.

The Highway Department has reported on the construction of a new road at the Rikoti Pass

The Department of Highways of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia reports on the progress of construction work on the expressway at the Rikot Pass. The road through Rikoti divides Georgia into eastern and western parts and is part of the East-West international highway.

It is planned to build a modern road of 51.6 kilometers on the Rikot Pass, which will include 96 bridges and 53 tunnels. The new highway will be fully operational by 2023. The cost of the project is about a billion dollars. If today it takes 8 hours from the Red Bridge (the border with Azerbaijan) to Sarpi (the border with Turkey), after the construction is completed, the travel time will be reduced to 4-4.5 hours.

Currently, a 13-kilometer road is being built on the section of the Ubisa-Shorapani expressway, on which there will be 27 bridges and 18 tunnels. "At the moment, reinforced concrete supports are being built on the bridges, as well as tunnels, arched and retaining structures, reinforced concrete retaining walls and water pipes," the department said in a statement.

The road through the Rikot Pass is part of the East-West highway, or the European Transit Road E-60. It is the second largest European transit corridor, which begins in Brest (France) and ends in Irkeshtam (Kyrgyzstan).

In Georgia, the E-60 begins on the border with Azerbaijan and ends on the Black Sea coast near the port of Poti. On the territory of Georgia, the length of the corridor is 392 kilometers.

Roads will be repaired in Akmola region

High–quality roads are the main criterion for the improvement of the regional center, Akim of Kokshetau Baurzhan Gaisa said during a briefing of the regional communications service.

The mayor informed about the prospects of the regional center's development, focusing on the ongoing work on the repair of road infrastructure and yard territories, the Department of Internal Policy of the region reports.

Also this year, the "Budget of Popular Participation" will be implemented, within which the population has the opportunity to participate in the distribution of local budget funds for the improvement of the city. These are landscaping, construction and repair of sidewalks, ramps, ditches, creation, repair and lighting of public areas (parks, squares, pedestrian zones and other objects) and others.

According to Baurzhan Gaisa, "this year special attention on road repairs will be paid to the outskirts of the city. Last year, work began on filling roads in the Substation microdistrict, which will continue this year. It is also planned to carry out an average repair of roads in the Beibitshilik microdistrict. Medium repairs are planned on some sections of the city's road infrastructure. Design and estimate documentation is being developed for the construction of a bypass road along Lake Kopa from Nazarbayev Avenue to Umyshev Street in the village of Krasny Yar. This project includes the construction of a bridge over the Shagalaly River," the mayor of the city said.

The new road, according to the speaker, will significantly simplify the way for residents of the suburb to the Saryarka microdistrict and the Northern industrial Zone. By the way, roads with a total length of 20 km will be repaired in the regional center this year.

The Head of the Cabinet of Ministers got acquainted with the rehabilitation of the Osh – Batken – Isfana highway

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov during a working trip to the Batken region got acquainted with the rehabilitation of the Osh-Batken-Isfana highway on the Osh-Nookat-Batken section (28-75km), the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Tabyldy Tillayev noted that the Osh-Nookat-Batken highway is not only of international importance, but is also an important transport artery for the progressive social and economic development of the Batken region.

The construction of this facility is financed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The cost of the highway reconstruction project is 133.58 million US dollars, of which 50 million US dollars are intended for the construction of the highway from 28 to 75 kilometers.

It is worth noting that the second component of the project, which will be used for the rest of the loan, is the prevention of natural disasters on the Bishkek-Osh road (construction of a protective structure against rockfalls, construction of support walls against landslides, construction of tunnels and bridges).

"Tender documentation is currently being prepared. The project will be implemented in accordance with international standards," he said.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that the tender should be announced in the very near future, and domestic companies should also be involved in the implementation of the project.

"Our local companies should gain experience, learn modern technologies and their application in order to compete with foreign companies in the future," the head of the Cabinet of Ministers stressed.

The Loan Agreement on the Issyk-Kul Ring Road project has been ratified

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On ratification of the Loan Agreement between Kyrgyzstan and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development on the Issyk-Kul Ring Road project (Korumdu-Balbai section), signed on July 12, 2021." This is reported by the press service of the head of state.

The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on February 2, 2022.

The agreement provides for the reconstruction of the 104-184.5 km section of the Balykchy-Karakol-Balykchy highway (Korumdu-S. Balbai).

The project will provide:

  • improvement of automobile communication of the Issyk-Kul Lake resort area with the regions of the republic, as well as with Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China;

  • improving the roadside infrastructure of the Issyk-Kul Ring for further development of domestic and international tourism;

  • development and growth of industrial production and agriculture;

  • connecting the Issyk-Kul Ring with the roads of Kazakhstan and Russia.

During the reconstruction, it is planned to arrange the road by installing stops, ditch trays, lighting lamps, reconstruction and widening of bridges, construction of a bicycle path and sidewalks, etc .

Also, by improving the technical condition of this section of the highway will be:

  • the possibility of access to regional markets for goods and services, including education and health services, has been expanded;

  • reduced travel time;

  • improved transport links and mobility;

  • the roadside infrastructure of the adjacent villages of Temirovka, Grigoryevka, Kozhoyar, Semenovka, Ananyevo, Zharkymbayev, Chon-Oruktu, Ortho-Oruktu, Oi-Tal, Oi-Bulak, Kuturga, Frunze, Ak-Bulun, Kurment, Balbai Baatyr has been improved (new food outlets, gas stations, SRT, etc.) of Issyk-Kul and Tyupsky districts of Issyk-Kul region.

In addition, jobs will be created for the local population of Issyk-Kul and Tyupsky districts of Issyk-Kul region during the construction period, and prerequisites will also be created for the creation of permanent jobs after the construction of roadside infrastructure.
