Construction of the Sisian-Kajaran road under the North-South program starts in Armenia

News Armenia, 24.09.2021

Construction of a new section of the Sisian-Kajaran road starts in Armenia within the framework of the North-South project. According to the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Vache Terteryan during the meeting, the project approved the investment program of the new Sisian-Kajaran section within the framework of the fourth program of the North-South road corridor project.

"With this decision, we are fixing the start of this major program and will already be able to carry out some actions in order to complete the procurement processes and tenders by 2022 and be ready for the start of the program," he said.

The Deputy Minister noted that the priority for Armenia is due to the strategic importance of building a new quality road connecting Armenia with Iran and the southern regions of the country with the center.

"The new section of road will have a length of about 60 km of road with an estimated speed of 100 km / h, there will be bridges with a total length of 4.7 km, as well as tunnels of 12.5 km, one of which is Bargushatsky - 8.6 km, and this is a rare construction not only on the scale of our country," he said.

Terteryan said that the cost of the construction program is 474.3 billion drams, and the total cost of the program is 487 billion drams.

"With this project, we will regulate the specifics of the process of alienation of the necessary territories for the implementation of the program of procurement of construction works and engineering services," he stressed.

The Deputy Minister explained that the program will be implemented in cooperation with international structures and it is understood that in order to conduct tenders, attract financial resources, it will be necessary to synchronize national legislation and legal regulations with the requirements of partners.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that this construction can be considered the largest construction project in the history of the third republic.

"This is a very serious challenge that needs to be fulfilled with honor. This will give a new quality to our economy, communications, and strengthen our economic ties with Iran. It will also arouse some interest within the framework of projects on the connection of the Persian Gulf with the Black Sea," he said.

Construction of the Goradiz-Jabrail-Zangilan-Agbend highway continues

Trend Az, 24.09.2021

The construction of the Goradiz-Jabrail-Zangilan-Agbend highway continues at an accelerated pace, the foundation of which was laid on April 26 during the trip of President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva to the Zangilan district.

The road construction project is one of 10 road infrastructure projects implemented on behalf of the Head of state in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur. This road will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the districts and villages liberated from occupation, since, as part of the Hajigabul-Goradiz-Agbend-Zangezur corridor highway, it is of great importance from the point of view of connecting Zangilan with other regions of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The Goradiz-Jabrayil-Zangilan-Agbend road with a length of 123.8 kilometers, according to the project, originates from the village of Akhmedbeyli of the Fuzuli district. The road will be six- and four-lane, and is being built according to the I technical category. The 80-kilometer section of the road will be six–lane, the rest of the 43.8 kilometers will be four-lane.

Large-scale construction works are continuing on the road. Earthworks are being carried out on the first section of the 81-kilometer highway. Three tunnels with a total length of 6,015 meters, two viaducts, 23 automobile bridges, 8 overpasses, 50 underpasses, 5 aboveground crossings are being built here, and foundation laying and piling works are already underway as part of the construction of 8 bridges.

KAZDORNII develops equipment used in the field of nanotechnology

KAZDORNII, 21.09.2021

Scientists of the Kazakhstan Road Research Institute have started developing new equipment used in the field of nanotechnology.

Since 2017, KAZDORNII has been actively working in the direction of nanotechnology focused on the road industry. In 2019, the Institute's scientists developed a technology to improve the properties of traditional bitumen by using nanomaterials. As a result, bitumen and asphalt concrete with improved strength and performance characteristics, the so-called nanobitums and nanoasphalt concrete, were obtained. This work was registered as a scientific discovery, the author of which is the president of KAZDORNIA, Professor B. Teltaev.

The International Academy of Authors of Scientific Discoveries and Inventions in Moscow, after a two-stage closed examination, recognized the work of Kazakhstani scientists as a breakthrough in the field of bitumen and awarded it with a special diploma.

The famous scientist Bagdat Teltaev, the author of the first three scientific discoveries in the road industry, shared plans to launch new equipment for the production of nanomaterials and explained the principle of its application.

A nanocarbon powder obtained from coal is added to the traditional road bitumen. According to the results of scientific research, it was determined that the physical properties of bitumen changed even with the addition of powder in an amount of 0.5% by weight. Their quality and strength properties have significantly improved. We added 2% and got durable bitumen and asphalt concrete with improved properties. We call this bitumen Kazakhstan nanobitum, and asphalt concrete — nanoasphalt concrete. This is domestic nanotechnology, firstly, because it is carried out by Kazakhstani scientists, and secondly, only domestic materials are used," the scientist says.

The first experimental studies of these new materials were very successful, they were carried out in the laboratories of KAZDORNIA. Continuing the scientific experiment, this year the Institute has started scientific work on another project on nanobitums and nanoasphalt concrete.

At the moment, KAZDORNIA scientists are developing a new device for producing carbon nanopowders from Kazakh coal. An application for a patent of the Republic of Kazakhstan for an invention was filed for this device.

Also, for the manufacture of the invented installation in the factory, design drawings of its elements and components were developed and designed. A group of scientists led by Bagdat Teltaev intends to manufacture this device by the end of the year.

Sharing the good news with Kazakhstani scientists and compatriots, Bagdat Teltayev emphasized that all materials used in nanotechnology are local.

All materials used are locally produced: bitumen, nanopowders and nanoasphalt concrete. With the help of new equipment, which is being created on the basis of the Institute, in the future, it is planned to obtain nanopowders from coal rocks of several Kazakh deposits, using them (nanopowders) in bitumen, we will get nanobitums and nanoasphalt concrete with improved performance characteristics. This will be a great contribution of KAZDORNIA scientists to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence and the country's economy.

The main advantage of the new materials being created is the quality and durability compared to traditional materials. At the same time, they have improved high- and low-temperature properties, that is, this will significantly reduce the number of cracks in winter and the formation of a track in summer, on the road surface. In the future, it is necessary to develop appropriate regulatory and technical documentation, and the new technology can be widely used in the road industry.

Road repairs continue in Bishkek. By the end of September, a number of streets will be opened for passage

KG Akipress, 25.09.2021

In the near future, by the end of September 2021, road construction on several streets will be completed according to the approved schedule of work on the project "Development of the Bishkek street and road network" (Phase 2) at the expense of grant funds from the People's Republic of China.

Despite the difficult situation associated with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, the volume and pace of road construction works in Bishkek are increasing and accelerating.

The project "Development of the Bishkek Road Network" (Phase 2), the contractor of which is China Road and Bridge Corporation, is designed for 2 years. The implementation of the project began in October 2020. Within the framework of the project, 60 streets with a total length of more than 70 km will be reconstructed, and the construction of 5 bridges is also planned.
