The President of the Kazakhstan Road Research Institute, Professor Bagdat Teltaevinformedthatnew technologies have been created to increase the stability of low-strength natural stone materials used in the construction of road pavement.
As you know, in many regions of Kazakhstan, especially in the western regions, there are low-strength natural materials with a porous structure, such as limestone and shell rock. When using porous materials, the stone absorbs moisture, begins to deteriorate when freezing in winter and quickly collapses during cyclic freezing-thawing. In other words, such material cannot be used in the road industry without special technologies. Road builders have to bring materials from other regions, which increases the cost of construction.
Scientists of the Kazakhstan Road Research Institute have found a way out - the creation of a special insulating layer that will increase the stability of materials.
"We are doing such research together with chemical scientists and have found a way to make such a layer of insulation, the so-called two-component method. Both components gave positive results during the first laboratory tests," says Teltaev.
The research of a new development in semi-industrial conditions will begin soon. It is planned to build an experimental section of the road, If the innovation proves its effectiveness, it will be recommended for use. According to scientists, the technology is economical, it can be widely used in practice, especially on local roads.

China will allocatealmost $125 millions on constructionhighways"Kalai-Humb - Vanj" in Tajikistan
Asia Plus, 19.10.2021
On October 18, the Council of the lower house of the Parliament of Tajikistan discussed the issue of ratification of the Agreement signed in July this year between the governments of Tajikistan and China on the provision of irrevocable assistance.
The agreement provides for the provision of gratuitous assistance to Tajikistan in the amount of 800 million Chinese yuan (almost $125 million) by the Chinese government to mobilize Chinese experts to prepare a draft feasibility study of the Kalai-Khumb-Vanj section of the Dushanbe-Kulma highway.
According to the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan, the length of the Kalai-Khumb-Vanj section is 80 km.
During the construction of the facility, it is planned to build two tunnels, 5.2 km long, 67 spillway pipes of various diameters, 5 protective corridors, 490 m long, 15 bridges, 634 m long, 180 artificial containment walls, 21.8 km long, 54 km of protective walls, 13 open ditches, 1.8 km long.
Also, in 19 localities, it is planned to carry out shore protection works for 12.1 km and other necessary infrastructure in accordance with the requirements and norms of road construction.
Currently, this section is considered one of the impassable sections of the Dushanbe-Kulma highway.
According to preliminary estimates, the implementation of the project for the reconstruction of this section of the road will require $ 228 million.
Emomali Rahmon launched construction work on the Dangara — Okmazor highway
Tajikistan24, 10/21/2021
President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the project of construction and reconstruction of the highway in Dangara district "Dangara — Levakant — Bokhtar" and started construction work.
The project covers three stages: the first stage will be 28.7 km, the second stage – 30.7 km and the third stage – 9.7 km.
It was reported that the first stage of "Dangara — Okmazor" will be 28.7 kilometers, and after repair and reconstruction, the facility will be brought into line with the third category of road construction.
According to the project, the width of the road will be 3.5 meters, and the paved part of the road will be from 7 to 8.4 meters.
It is planned to build 5 bridges with a length of 75 meters, lay 37 pipes, create 23 modern stops, provide lighting for settlements and build other necessary infrastructure.
The project of construction and reconstruction of the Dangara —Levakant—Bokhtar highway will be implemented with the contribution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan together with development partners.
It should be noted that the Dangara — Levakant — Bokhtar highway has not been subjected to major repairs for many years, it became necessary to update and reconstruct it.
In the near future, at the initiative of the Government of the country, the highway will be brought into line with modern requirements, and residents will be served at a high level.
After the Republic of Tajikistan gained independence, the way out of the communication impasse was declared a strategic goal, and within its framework, roads in cities and districts of the republic will gradually be brought into line with international standards.

During a meeting with the capital's voters, Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced drastic changes in the public transport system and road planning in Tashkent.
"Due to the increase in the population of Tashkent and the growth of its income, the number of personal vehicles has increased 2-3 times in recent years, more than 700-800 thousand cars pass through the streets of the city every day. This negatively affects the environment, causes congestion, and negatively affects the safety of pedestrians and drivers. The capital's public transport and road infrastructure are not yet able to adequately solve these problems. There are no underground and aboveground pedestrian crossings, parking lots in the city", – noted presidential candidate.
According to him, there are also more than 500 major intersections in the capital, 200 of which have low capacity. For the full operation of the system, a system of "smart" regulation will be introduced here. At the same time, only 33% of passengers use public transport. This happened, among other things, due to the fact that the interval of movement of buses on 80 routes is up to 30 minutes during rush hours, which causes public outrage. To change the situation, it is planned to develop and adopt a special program for the development of transport for the next five years.
Mirziyoyev also added that it is planned to build 16 major transport hubs in the city at the intersection of land transport routes and the metro, parking near 6 metro stations in Chilanzar, Yunusabad and Yashnabad districts, 80 multi-storey parking lots for 40 thousand cars on central streets, 21 new overpasses.
