Minsk is ready to participate in the restoration of transport infrastructure in Karabakh

Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus Alexey Avramenko held a working meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Minsk Ulvi Bakhshaliyev.
"The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the participation of the state-owned enterprises Belgiprodor and the Institute Belzheldorproekt in the design and survey work carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan to restore the transport infrastructure," the information of the Ministry of Transport of Belarus says.
Avramenko noted a wide range of bilateral cooperation in the field of transport, as well as the absence of any problematic issues.
"Today, close cooperation has been established between our countries and, for our part, we are ready to participate in the design of transport infrastructure facilities in Azerbaijan. In this part, we have the appropriate capacities and specialists, and most importantly — a high potential, especially in terms of railways," the minister said.
Bakhshaliyev, in turn, stressed the strategic level of relations between the countries, their friendly and partner nature. "There are a large number of promising projects in the country that need to be implemented. We will provide any necessary assistance in coordinating joint actions," the Ambassador said.
Bakhshaliyev also invited the Belarusian delegation to Azerbaijan for a detailed study of the objects requiring restoration.
"In conclusion, the parties agreed to continue working together in the areas identified at the meeting," the information emphasizes.

In Almaty, the technology of a new road surface was applied for the first time

A fundamentally new road surface is being laid in Almaty for the first time, the Khabar 24 correspondent reports. Nanoasphalt concrete was developed by domestic specialists from the Kazakhstan Road Research Institute. Its main difference from other polymers that are used in the construction of highways is that carbon dust is used in the composition. It is obtained by grinding coal.
The process is divided into three stages, as a result of which the carbon component as the final product is dispersed to nanoparticles. According to the developers, the new type of pavement has greater strength compared to polymer asphalt concrete. In addition, it is much cheaper.
Now nanoasphalt concrete has been laid on the site of one of the main avenues of Almaty – Tole bi. Its length is about 100 meters. It will be tested in the coming months. Bagdat Teltaev, President of Kazakhstan Road Research Institute JSC: - To determine the characteristics of the prepared nano-asphalt concrete mixture, we have already taken samples – our institute and the Almaty city branch of the National Center for Road Asset Quality. Of course, the plant itself, the manufacturer of "Asphalt Concrete-1" also took a sample. We will now determine the standard characteristics. Then, as soon as the construction of the site is completed, we will do the first monitoring.

Construction of the north-south highway

In Kyrgyzstan, the construction of an alternative north—south highway is in full swing, which will connect Jalal-Abad and Balykchi.
In 2014, construction of the north—south highway began to provide an alternative route connecting the northern and southern regions of Kyrgyzstan. The Bishkek —Osh highway is still the main transport artery of the country and can no longer cope with increased traffic. 10-18 thousand cars pass through it every day.
The largest tunnel in Kyrgyzstan is being built at the Kok-Art pass through the Ferghana Ridge. This is the most expensive object on the alternative north—south highway.
Unlike the Bishkek —Osh road, there are no high passes, ascents and sharp descents on the new highway. The peculiarity of the alternative route is a smooth ascent.
Now the construction of two overpass bridges across the Naryn River is being completed on the north—south road, by the end of next year it is planned to complete the construction of a tunnel at the Kok-Art pass. The deadline for putting the route into operation was postponed several times. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Transport, it will be fully ready in 2024. The road is being built with credit funds.
