The general design concept of regulatory standards allows to provide optimization of basic standard explicit costs for road maintenance and repair for 5% in order to fulfilling the Instruction of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation A.V. Dvorkovich as of 10th July 2011 No. AD-P9-4613. The estimated economic effect from the implementation of financing strategy for the adjusted regulatory standards amounts to 14 billion rubles annually.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ROAD BASES AND PAVEMENTS EVENNESS DURING CONSTRUCTING

  • Doctor of Engineering, Professor
    O.A. Krasikov
    (FAI «ROSDORNII»)
    Contact information: krasikov@rosdornii.ru

  • Abstract: The article dwells upon the issues of requirements compliance of road pavement evenness by clearances under three-meter rod with the requirements by International Roughness Index (IRI), which are presented in the revised edition of construction rules and regulations (SNiP) 3.06.03-85. Based on the comparative analysis the conclusion is drawn that evenness requirements by three-meter rod are not in compliance with the IRI scale requirements, which are more strict. The differentiated evaluation of road base and pavement evenness by IRI scale is regarded. The note «Excellent» differs from «Satisfactory» by 22-45%, that might be regarded as improving of initial evenness when constructing, and consequently contributes to optimization of operating costs and increase of road pavement service life. On the basis of comparison of standard specifications for evenness during constructing with theses ones during operating the difference between them was determined, which is 1,1-3,3%. Such interval is sufficient for providing normative interrepair service life of road pavements.

  • Abstract: The article deals with the results of researches which show that the size of reduction in the rate of distribution of an electromagnetic wave in soil in a thawed state, in comparison with frozen, depends on their humidity. It is revealed that this dependence is approximated by a linear empirical formula on the basis of which the monitoring method of soil condition by data of different-seasonal measurements is proposed. With the view of researches results objective interpretation in the conditions of the cryolithozone, the signs are developed for identification of zones of the increased humidity, taliks, sites of the weakened soil, heaving and the infiltration boundaries of underground waters. The use cases of steel H-shaped and pipe piles in integral abutments are considered and it is shown that for overpasses with integral abutments pipe piles are the most preferred. It is revealed that including approach slabs in overpass work may decrease bending moment value in piles and level of normal stresses in their sections. It is recommended to apply the embedded approach slabs for skewed and curved overpasses and for straight ones surface slabs forming the entire construction with abutment and span.

  • Abstract: When developing the marking polymer composition formulation, the composition influence on technological and performance properties – resistance to aggressive factors impact and durability are analyzed. As a result of complex researches of functional and technological characteristics of marking compositions based on petroleum polymer resins (PPR), the effectiveness of a new method of sequential regulation of the selected functional and technological parameters has been proved, taking into account road and climate conditions of application and operation. New functional and technological characteristics of cool melts of polymer materials on the basis of PPR for road marking in the form of ready-to-use technological blocks are determined, that it enables to obtain marking material of high degree of readiness for use and more homogeneous and not critical to storage and transportation conditions.
