  • Doctor of Engineering O.A. Krasikov
    (FAI «ROSDORNII»)
    Contact information: krasikov@rosdornii.ru

  • Abstract: Based on existing methodical regulations improving a new economic and mathematical decision model of justification of requirements of road pavements evenness with regard to minimizing of functional representing cumulative discounted costs expressed by pavement condition function in ac-cordance with international roughness index (IRI) is proposed. New mathematical models for predicting IRI changes over time are used in the optimization model. The realization of the developed economic and mathematical model has been allowed justifying required IRI values of road pavements during their operation, and this has been carried out for the first time for Russian Federation road sector. In contrast to earlier performed optimization calculations, when justifying the requirements for road pavement evenness, quasioptimal corridors are used, analyzing which it is possible to substantiate the most rational values for evenness allowance. The usage of obtained results enables to enhance objectivity of road pavement evenness evaluation and confirm the necessity of performing preventive repairs.
